That's my experience. BL Fujoshi often also like yuri, though to a much lesser degree. Now yuri or het that is ALSO technically BL? You have their undivided attention.

The intensity of the characters and the emotional situation is often a higher priority than the bits being used. As well as a genuine love for the souls, spirits and personalities of boys and men. Aoi sorta has a point.
