The LN ended at 2 volumes quite some time ago. So don’t get your hopes up for a third volume. The manga is at the end of volume 1 now, so we’re about halfway through it.

Still at the very least got Laplace's stuff to touch upon with Maxwell. Tanya's story was about misogyny, but Laplace might have something else to adress.

Also other plot points they could go on would revenge for Nadine's family or at least touch up on. And if the sexy kitsunemimi mage joins the party she might have her own plot drama.

Would be kinda funny party though. Magic Saber, Witch, Mage and Healer(assassin).

For those curious, the manga is up to chapter 20.3 on the official site and has already started covering Volume 2 of the Light Novel, so it looks like we should get the whole series in manga form. I'd expect around 36 chapters in total based on the current rate the series is going. Might get some extras, which would be nice.

Which makes total sense. It is the ending of the Light Novel, and as much as they can give hooks for a sequel they should treat the ending of at least the first book as an "ending".

Unless it was already agreed to be a duo or trilogy, something like that, every book ending should be treated as a potential final ending. Just like with tv series' seasons.
How many ended with annoying cliffhangers as if trying to get people to beg for the next one?

So, it was Laplace that put a barrier to protect Raian.
People were expecting it to have been Maxwell. I myself was just expecting Tanya to be able to hold back just enough to cause maximum pain without death.
And... holy shit, her description of how that magic usually goes! And she was throwing it around at the start when she met Laplace!
