It wasn’t really told here in the manga(it should have been revealed in this chapter), but she’s the descendant of the dragon god from her mothers side, which is why Maxwell did the deal(more like trick and force them) with them to have a child with him. This gave her an extreme amount of magic which allowed Maxwell to experiment on her engraving magic circles in her blood, which ended up successfully granting immortality. This is also one of the big reason why he was so pissed off as he realised he couldn’t become immortal through this method.

It was stated in 24.1. She says that she is the progeny of Maxwell and a shrine maiden of the dragon god, then later on says that because she has the blood of the Dragon God, she is considered the closest to immortality.

Finally we get the rest of Laplace's backstory, and boy it's not pretty. A final betrayal from the one person she trusted, even through the countless horrible experiments he did on her. Just because she's immortal, doesn't mean she doesn't suffer through any of the executions they tried on her. The relevance of the coins are now made clear. I wonder if these will also be the key to defeating Maxwell?
