Maxwell doing experiments on the princess and all of those Laplace clones in the secret basement. Is the princess a clone too? It's the only thing I can think of for why he would experiment on her.

Damn, they found the supreme shitbag of a final boss before Tanya and Laplace did. I hope they can hold out until the party is reunited, or at least escape but I've got a bad feeling about this.
