No trial and imprisonment would be enough for the gravity of his crimes that took place over centuries, and simply killing him feels too lenient. His punishment must be more severe.
His obsession with immortality reminds me of Zouken Matou, but he's far worse since he's politically powerful, basically almost a shadow emperor running the empire into the ground, also stealing its resources to further his nefarious schemes.
