This is cute.

I like how he's questioning her looks. What gaudy ass clothes are you wearing my dude?

Yeah, she's dressing up for her own sake, not for anyone else's. Someone else appreciating that doesn't negate her own tastes.

How cute, they're making....potato hands? Sure, let's go with that.
Imperfections are fun.

I hate when people wear attention-seeking clothes without reason at all and then get mad when someone gets up against them, like b!tch you literally asking for it You have no privilege to complaint about it when you literally know it would happen to you wearing such things in public

It's not attention seeking, if she's not wearing it for anyone but herself.
And why would anyone need a specific reason to wear stuff they like, it's a matter of taste.
It's like saying you hate people eating strawberry ice cream in public just because the majority likes vanilla better.

Plus, so what if people don't like it? They can just go and mind their own fucking business instead of bringing others down.

If she wearing far from ordinary clothing "gothic lolita clothes" doesn't count as attention seeking, im lost of word thinking what the actual attention seeking you'll imagine would be.
And also in later chapter, look how she did the complete opposite of her word & even the title, stepping up her game from "not some man dress up doll" to "seeking validation from my crush about how cute my clothings are"💀.
also the befitting analogy would be,
She act rude toward me after asking why she licking ice scream i like right in front of my faces?.
And yeah i hated stranded sheep, and i count her one of them. Not alpha nor unique and surely she aren't special, Just a lump of living flesh wrapped in a pile of cloth, nothing more than a hypocrite.

The title of "I'm Not Some Man's Dress-Up-Doll!" made me think this was gonna be a story about a girl becoming independant from men.

Then it turns out the 1st chap is about her needing a man to save her...

And being told by the dude that her clothes are cute, which I bet means she WILL become a man's dress up doll.

Did the title just become a lie in chap 1?
thats the cool side of inferences. they can be just wrong and thats on you. it just mean she wont change her style not that she is a mysandrist.

This might get long, lol.

Attention seeking imo would be if she's shouting at people or bumping into them on purpose or behaving obnoxious in disrupting ways like that.
Or carrying neon signs that say "look at me".
The only reason she got attention to begin with is because she was helping a girl who got harassed by the guy.
Wearing clothes is not attention seeking. Not wearing clothes probably would be.

You also seem to have a certain interpretation of the title and I understand the confusion with her actions but let me explain how I see it here:
She's not someones' dress up doll and that's because she doesn't dress as she's told.
Yes, she's happy that her crush likes her clothes, but she doesn't dress like that because of him.
She already dressed that way before meeting him.

I don't understand the sentence with the ice cream, so I don't know how to address that (but I guess it's in reply to my example).

I'll take it "stranded sheep" is someone going against the main stream. You're entitled to your opinion on that but I disagree with it.
I think the world would be a boring hell if everyone was the same.

Also it's not about being alpha, unique or special, it's simply a preference that doesn't harm anyone.
Like preferring to watch sports instead of playing it.
Or having your walls blue instead of some other colour.
Maybe you wouldn't wear things out of the ordinary if it isn't to catch attention, but not everyone thinks that way.

alright let's end this bullshit, First of all fuck the author for making the fmc said such stupid words as the first impression of the manga, cuz irl for example I sees like sideroad prostitute who doesn't mind being called attention-seeking when wearing skimpy clothes, or when I confront my sister using ton of make-up and her sexiest clothing she has whenever she about to go to date with her bf, nor when my mom wearing fck ton of jewelry when it times to go to social gathering would say "no I'm not trying to gain attention from someone", an idea that woman doesn't wear attractive outfit for attention alone already sound dumb cuz, when woman get attention they felt => validation which then turn to => happiness, that how women has been for thousand of years, so once again fuck the author for triggering me. so im gonna 1 star the manga and drop it out of spite.

You're right, let's stop this.
Looks like neither of us will change our mind.
You have your experiences, I have mine.
So let's agree to disagree, I guess.

Exactly, "Women don't need your opinion to validate their women-hood and they don't need men to like how they dress or think they look cute" respectable idea that I can get behind, but then she instantly gets saved by a man, he likes her clothing and she instantly falls in love with him? The author is giving antisocial pick me boy vibes, pushing the "im feminist" while also making his mc (the girl) super shallow with no personallity, instantly falling in love with the first guy who complements her. I might be taking it too far but I'd say he's delusional.

Bruh you sound so disgusting to me, you probably are a great deterrent to women, remind me to call you over if I ever need to get any females to immediately leave any area I'm in.
