I try my best to keep a positive environment in these threads, but some manga readers are insufferable when it comes to discussions and will do anything they can to bait an argument. I don't mind discussing a series or different topics or viewpoints on why I think Yuki tells great all-around stories and why you think she does as well, but her endings are bad. But at the end of the day, I know that anything I write here will be looked at through a combative lens and be dismissed in the ego pool of yourself that refuses to let their mind be challenged or changed.
If you want me to discuss your "analysis" of her endings, then make a better analysis. It's that simple. It'd simply waste my time to discuss the main topic of abandonment in Sakamichi no Apollon when you don't even seem to understand Ritsuko or Sentarou's characters. Or the fact that you think she chooses the MC on a whim in the ending even though one of the central points throughout the entire story is her conflicting feelings with Hikaru, starting even in Volume 1. Not even that your "analysis" of Hotaruko "simping" for the uncle in the end doesn't touch the fact of her confrontation with the true identity of her feelings for him as well as her mother after reading her journals.
It's also prevalent to mention that your idea of her bad endings only comes from her series completed in scans. She has a total of 10 works digitally with 2 more that are only available physically. An analysis of her endings to all of her stories would require you to actually read her completed works, not 4 of them.
If you'd like to have an actual discussion about things, then PM me. Having a pissing contest on a discussion thread of Chapter 16 for 狼の娘 only provides a breeding ground for conflict.
This is why I usually just recommend reading something else. If you already have it in your head that 4 volumes in this will disappoint you, then I don't understand why you would keep reading! 🤷♂️(‘Cause I can read whatever I want!)
Hope to hear from you!
I am not criticizing her writing ability, so telling me about how the foundation towards the ending was already laid out since vol.1 in Tsukikkage Baby is missing the whole point. It was obvious she was going to end up with Saeki, just as I said here she will end up with Kiriko, but it's how we got there at the very end that was the problem and I'm just simply saying I won't be surprised if that same pattern will occur with this manga. You taking that as me saying I don't like her works and should go elsewhere is kinda dumb and gatekeepish for no reason.
I was still in high school when Tsukikkage baby ended, but I remember the sentiment towards the ending was that of disappointment of how we got there back in those kissmanga days so it's not like I'm being a delusional outlier for the criticism I have. I went to the thread here for the last chapter and the first comment was "so it went from almost NTR to a 2nd hand male ending huh" and I am simply one the people who felt that about the ending back then and still feel so today. Some people enjoyed the whole journey, I enjoyed the journey as well, accept for the writing at the very end. All that previous development with Saeki just for her to act like that with the uncle at the very end was simply off putting, and you thinking I am saying there was no prior development between them or showing of conflict in her feeling for Hikaru is missing my point. It's precisely because there was development that it was a surprised to see her throw herself at the uncle at the very end. It was ridiculous, and when that failed and she comes to terms with her feelings for Saeki and they get together it fails as deserved payoff for their development cause we just saw her act like a pathetic hyper simp for unc just a short while ago. Not at the beginning or the middle of the story, but at the end that's what I have a problem with.
And of course my complain will come from what I have read, which is all her scanned work. But that doesn't mean I should not make a critic of an artists if I haven't consumed all their works. So everyone's critic of an artist will come from whatever works of them they have been exposed to, so you saying I haven't read her other works doesn't make my assessment of her works that I have been exposed to a lie. Maybe if I read all her other works my stance will change tomorrow, but that doesn't make what I said previously a lie, it was just my own truth based on what works of hers I had consumed. You can have you're own truth, I can have mine. What you're saying about her as a writer is true from your perspective, mine is also true from my perspective and experience with her works(sorry, scanned works).
