@Arkaunn
I am 10 month late but OH BOY, i firmly believe you misunderstood what i was talking about.,
The resenmet and undying rage supposed to happen after she gets a second chance. She literally has no reason to feel burdened with what his family has done since in the very end she had nothing to do with all of this. This novel "obviously" is based on medievel times where it was very normal for noble's to not give a second thought about commoners. So its not a suprise she actually didn't care aobut outside world at all. Well a useless pride and worthless diginity was all they had really.
This should've turned into a revenge one, not one of those pitiful and meaningless ones, a Beatiful Crime is what i was expecting.
In the end author is a softie and he is writing a shoujo manga. What a major disappointment this manga is, really.

Still, one of the best first few page's i've read really. It geniuenly makes you feel something with mere four of five pages.
I can still rant more about how much of a bullshit it is for her to get a job IN HER FORMER HOME but yeah.
Hope you got the point

i think the easiest way to get on the heroines side with this one is how the guy gives up on proving that he does want his victim to live on.

I didn't even know this story existed but by the summary it sounds pretty interesting >o<

He chose to respect her wish to die, yet he didn't try to prove to her that he really loved her. Yes, he has a responsibility to uphold as the leader of this, but they were alone. And his offer? Not only was it shitty and insulting (telling her to live on when she has neither family nor a lover anymore, literally nothing), but also puts her in a position to be assassinated. The church might forgive, but angry peasants? They might just sneak in. They wanted an execution of one of them. The others died in the fire, with no crowd to jeer and boo.

If he wanted to save her, he could've captured her father and used him as the martyr, while proving (or maybe just straight up saying since he's the lord now) that she was innocent and shouldn't be held accountable for the crimes of her predecessors, when she had no knowledge. But he didn't.

Couldn't be me! I can't in my right mind love a man who gave the order to killed me. I've seen many female leads like this one and the male made sure to protect her.

He tried to help her and she denied it on feeling even admitted that she was guilty for not stopping her parents.

Her actions are understandable to be honest. Just think that the man you loved and cared for just did all that just so he can catch some dirt on your family. I would be heart broken and wouldn't trust anyone too. Its hard to be rational at that situation.

Her parents were a piece of shit but he is too. So they just burned everything down with the servants, children and all?

I know nobody asked but the fact that she got betrayed even though she was a willing bystander hurts me a little because she was young. Young people have the potential to change, because they have more time to do so.

I'm so glad I found this manga.

Like @Tempkschris said, this is very well written. And very well drawn too if I may add. Drawing a certain scene to invoke the readers feeling is no easy feat.

Who's willing to bet it's he who made some ritual or deal or whatever to bring her back? Probably also knows who her reincarnation is and commanded the matron to send her over to work lmao

So she died in her og life knowing of crimes, but being ignorant to some sort, and in her new life, 15 years later, she wants to atone for crimes she didn’t commit in her new life? what bs is that
