Sadly, in this case... the "comedy" is very very subjective. For me, it amounts to "too much cringe" for what the story is worth.

I get the desire to help others. But when this so-called friend comes to help, has anyone not noticed that she takes up the role of Judge, Jury and Executioner?

For the love of the men in Japan, I sure hope the representation of the women in this story do not reflect anything called "Reality" over there.

Botan hitting and threatening before even knowing Itsuki, makes her prejudiced and controlling of Aoi who she interact with.

Meanwhile Itsuki relationship with Aoi is currently based on a lie and what Aoi would like about him isn't his true self, but an act. If she will fell for his pretend personality, not himself , things will be uneasy...
