From what I know it's a saying in japan to describe being trans (having the heart of a man/woman)So I interpret one's "heart being male" to mean being trans masc, but she says that's not how she feels, but then seems to describe what being trans feels like. Is it the author being too scared to include an explicitly trans character, or is the character written to be somewhat in denial, or am I reading this wrong entirely?
Seems like it's more making a point of not having how they dress and act determine what they're labeled as since they still identify as female and firmly see themselves as one
I think this might be a bit of a similar situation to persona 4 where some of its commentary changes drastically due to different cultural perceptions of topics especially gender and sexuality
But also I probably just need to read the next chapter lol
