New chapter 79 got released on 19/12/25
Thank you! I bought all 8 thicc edition uncensored tankobons that Seven Seas brought over here from 2024-2025, but I had given up on the series continuing past Ch. 78 // Vol. 8, ending very unsatisfyingly!
From your comment here, I was able to do some digging and found the official, currently free, albeit censored, version of Ch. 79 here:
https://takecomic.jp/series/d686f06c83a98
Wikipedia says that the series is ongoing to present, but then only mentions the 78 chapters published in Tankobon form. Luckily it had the official link for me to investigate.
Both Wikipedia and MangaUpdates fail to mention that Ch. 79 is out, and the Ch. 78 was from 2022, so if not for your comment I would have written the series off as cancelled (despite about to have an anime adaptation!).
Similarly, my copy of thicc edition Vol. 7-8 omnibus replaces all the chapter-enders' "No.##続く" ("To Be Continued in Chapter No. ##", where ## = 01,02…77,79) with "END", and if I hadn't gone to the Japanese website and read Ch. 78 in Japanese just now, I wouldn't have seen that Ch. 78 indeed says to be continued in No.79! I'm not sure if the "tbc" was present in the magazines it ran in from 2014-2022, since Take Comic seems to have gotten the rights for the series and started republishing it digitally only as recently as this past October 2025.
I can read Japanese decently enough to read the new chapter, but I don't do translation work and I strongly suggest that people wait for Seven Seas to package the remaining chapters in a Volume 9. Hopefully they'll publish them in non-omnibus forms now that the series is back!
Just thankful I didn't sink money into a series with a nothingburger non-ending. So many series of this genre basically run out of steam and stop releasing new chapters or do a "the adventures/hijinks continues..." final chapter.
This particular comic starts out feeling very silly and undeep and quick to porn plotting; literally has him in bed with one of the girls in the very first chapter. But what's interesting about it is how it explores emotions of living with people after messy sexual encounters, and how people coming out of those relationships sit with their emotions and mismatched desires. This provides a depth you usually don't get in a harem genre story because they're either not bold enough to actually have sexual encounters or they don't explore the internality of the characters afterwards.
I'm not sure how the anime adaptation will work. I could equally see them going with "turn it into a hentai" vs. "tone-down/heavily censor to make it palatable for the Japanese networks".
In any case, I'm looking forward to seeing the series' revival chapters and the anime!
