Option to hide "forum" and "manga" latest post

Soo, what do you guys think about it? I mean, if there is an option to hide the latest post (see the image below) it will be really helpful!

But why though? To see the latest post, you have to scroll down and check the right hand side of the site, which means you deliberately chose to view it.

If you're gonna bs and say something like "I scroll down to see the latest manga" then there's a button to do that anyway that allows you to not see forum posts.

To put it short & simple: I just want an "option" (like hentai toggle, that has 3 choices) by that readers can choose to show or hide the latest post for forums and manga (take a look at the picture I uploaded, I have no intention to remove the forum) @abcsoflife

I mean this site aside from a Manga Reading site of the sort, is also a site that have community in it.

I feel like if users have the option to shut out the community thing (the latest thread and Manga comments preview) is basically the same as shutting down the community part.

Also, if you want to hide that, is it not like you don't need this thread to be seen as well?
Hence why I previously assume you would like this thread to be hidden or deleted.

@sastrathebest the only reason you will have to scroll down and see the forum posts in the first page minus deliberately wanting to see it is because you want to see more of the latest updates (hence my reply) or see new series (solved by same reply) or check series that are getting animated this season, which is easier to do in almost any other site.

Hence, if you are scrolling down, that means there is a deliberate action to look at the forum post. Any other reason is solved by the updates feature. This is what my first reply is saying. Saying that my reply is "out of context" is stupid because it solves the main issue under the rationale of "what events would involve it" minus the obvious "I am deliberately scrolling down to see the forum posts" which defeats the logic asking for a solution in the first place.

@shouldsleep You don't get what's the problem here, do you? Out of context means why do I need to click the hamburger button? My context here is to hide the latest forum section in homepage not to switch to another page (I thought you know how to hide it, but then you disappointed me). And I don't need to discuss about this kind of thing with political-brain like you: Promising something, here and there, blah blah blah blahcetra but don't know what's the main/actual problem.
Hint: My main reason here is to read A MANGA not to read a forum or even community conflict. C'mon, get a life.
P.S.: I do like thread about jokes like shitpost, last letter, etc but why do I need to read something about "Loli" in the first place? What's the point of using filter for manga then?

Why do I need to click the hamburger button

?

1. Because it serves the same purpose as scrolling down except it's more functional (doesn't just show most recent chapter but shows all recent updates).

2. If you are scrolling down. You should be doing that to check one of three things:
New updates
Forum
New series

(I already explained this before so I won't reiterate)

3. It's just one button. It's functionally the same as scrolling down but digs to more updated series so if you are looking for new series, then this is the option you should be using anyway. You're acting as if scrolling down versus doing one click has such a huge difference.

And there's thay. You have a problem, a solution exists assuming the reasons why you'll have the problem be relevant occurs (You'll only see forum post when scrolling down, it's not as if it screams on your face the moment you open the homeoage). The solution is also simple.

I called your saying the solution I gave to be "irrelevant" stupid because it fixes the problem easily assuming underlying reason why the problem would be a bother. Now if you can give a fair reason why you'd need to scroll down anyway versus clicking a button, then, I'd be glad to retract that statement. But while it stands, it is stupid.

To add. There's none of the "loli" in there too as they auto filter the list even if you use the button.


PS. There's also a follows button too, if you're checking your follows list.

What a joke, burger icon is another thing, scroling down is another thing. Do you think that I'm sooo stupid by that my suggestion for option to hide the latest post already solved by using the burger icon? Lol, whatever. The key words are latest manga and not see forum posts. It's basically what it says. I did not claim anything else. It solves the problem "I don't want to see forum posts" if you are looking for updated manga.

You asked a question and someone gave a solution. It might not be immediately equal but it's functionally the same.

If your issue is I don't wanna see forum post, then it solves it. Simple as that. You're making this oddly personal.

As for your uploaded image. Nope didn't see it. It's a broken image link on this end. I assume that you don't want anything loli related (still solved by updates button. If it's a forum thread, then you wouldn't see it regardless, if it's the theme, then you wouldn't see it too).

If your claim (to focus on manga rather than forum) was truly the focus of this suggestion, like what your first post said, then the solution would've sufficed. There are buttons for follows and updates. Both allows you to not see the forums.

Ignoring the obvious they are on the top (with follows in glaringly obvious written English). You're being the strange customer. Here's a problem, here's a non-convoluted solution. Why the heck are you being salty?

You're telling the dvelopers make a fringe option that could've been solved with:
A simple click which someone told you is an easy solution
or not just scroll down all the way down

But no apparently simple solutions that resolves problems are somehow out of context, political and somehow because it's pushing a business model? Like whut?
