Today, we’re starting to release the chapters of our version of “Orcsen Oukokushi.” We’ll be uploading the series starting from Chapter 1, because it’s the fairest way to begin a project in which another scan group has already worked on several chapters — and out of respect for them, we are starting from the beginning.

We already have the entirety of Volume 1 translated. Tomorrow I’ll upload Chapter 2, and the following day Chapter 3. After that, we’ll be posting a free volume-style PDF on our Patreon for everyone.

This project was an amazing team effort. Truly, without Hawki financial support, it wouldn’t have been possible to make it happen. And of course, the staff’s work — in redraws, typesetting, translation, and especially proofreading — was outstanding.

Kudos for picking up this amazing manga, but it's sad that the the chapter appears to be littered with multiple mistranslations, some of them severe...

They‘re still collabing with another group, so I would ask the other group. And either way, what’s the point of starting this with another group, meanwhile challenging official publishers

Honestly, I’m not really sure. We bought Volume 1 on BookWalker and we’re working from that version. Maybe the magazine version is darker or something like that.

While the translator was working, he mentioned that he interpreted the kanji as Dinelus, which is valid in its own way since it’s one possible reading of the characters. However, since Dineru is the name that appears in the wiki starting from Chapter 4, we’ll be using that name for the character, as it is theoretically the correct one.

This is similar to what happens in Gachiakuta, where you might see Rudo or Ludo depending on the version you read, and that happens because of the different ways the names can be interpreted or Romanized.

First of all, thank you for letting us know there were errors. I’ll mention it to both the translator and the proofreader so we can be more careful with the upcoming chapters. Also, if you’d like to help us a bit with the correction process, you can use the #⦇❌⦈➟errors channel on Discord to point out anything you notice. We’ll gladly review it and fix anything that needs to be corrected.

I just saw your comment, and I’d like to clarify why we are working on this series. As I mentioned, this project was sponsored by someone, almost like a commission, so we began working on it. Once we completed the commission for Volume 1, we thought about uploading it to Dex starting from Chapter 1—first, to avoid causing any issues with the scan group that is currently farther ahead (which I believe is you), and second, to share our version so it wouldn’t remain only as the volume-style PDF we created and planned to release for free.

I truly apologize if our work on this series is causing you any trouble. From the start, we had no intention of competing over the project or trying to become the main scan group. In the end, we were asked to complete a certain number of chapters, and that is what we are doing. For that same reason, we’re not trying to “snipe” anyone, and that’s why we decided to begin from Chapter 1.

Don’t worry at all. Just let me know if you’re okay with me uploading the chapters up to where we currently are, or if you’d prefer that I stop uploading my version here on Dex. Either option is totally fine for me. As I mentioned before, I only wanted to share the work we’ve done, and we’re really not trying to compete or anything like that.
