If I remember my schooling correctly, that’s generally accepted as one of the reasons WW1 had such a high body count – war culture was still running on ye old honor and chivalry mores when the efficacy of modern weaponry and tactics made those beliefs impractical.So they still hold the medieval age chivalry value, while having almost modern time weaponry and tactical....

Our Orc nation hasn’t yet had a war with their modernized military, so their older values haven’t been slapped with reality yet.
