An interesting and fascinating beginning to a decent-good story, which sadly goes down the drain in an extremely rushed ending (last 15 - 20 chapters have a story, which, if normaly paced, would be worth multiple volumes).
I'm sad that this got axed, because I quite liked it. The protagonist being just a solider, the spirits as "forces of nature" that only helped those, whose soul they found the most appetizing, etc.
While re-reading, I noticed that the pace of the story changed at chapter 50-ish. I guess thats when it was axed and the mangaka had to tie everything together somehow.
A real shame, for this leaves a bitter and sour aftertaste to a story, that would have been a lot better than your average isekai story.
