those 2 are the heroines of the novel, he saves them both in different occasions, the saint shows obvious agfection towards him. Then one of them reconciles with her fiance, and the saint marries a guy from another kingdom who happens to show up. Then the author realises people didn't like that and the mc marries a random maid who's name was only revealed during the engagement who he had saved at some point

I found it rather disappointing, and this manga definitely shouldn't have a romance tag, there's no romance involving the mc.

You can read the wn of the series if you want, though I wouldn't really recommend it.

This series comes across as the author and publisher having different ideas for how the story should go and what's it about. The publisher wants romance, the author wants the mc to be asexual and be everyone's big brother. I read the wn out of interest, and feel like I just wasted time.

Yea I'm 100% not doing that lmao, I already HATE wasting my time on series that have HORRIBLE writing because the author fucks it up so there's no way Ima spend my time on something that is purely just words aka WN/LN lol especially when I know its shit, thx for the info tho

I'll be honest, the premise of the story is actually great. But god the WN is really rushed, many things are simply swept under the rug so that author can move to the next arc in like 1 or 2 chapter.

For example and Im just using a short example. MC was on trial and he was accused as being the culprit, MC says he is not and present his side of the story and boom trial ends. Thats the kind of writing for the WN.

Now, Ill be fair for now and hope the manga does the story exposition better (chapter 1 does more justice than the WN). So I will be giving it follow.

Regardless, MC is a big brother to majority of the cast. If the 2 girls on the cover represents the prince fiancee and saint, then neither are his love interest.
The crown prince fiancee continues her relationship with the prince even after he steps down as crown prince.
Saint actually falls in love with the vice commander Aurele, she and Justin are close but consider each other friend.
As for our MC Justin, he is engaged to crown prince fiancee maid, which I hope the Manga does justice because its so sudden like "She is my maid and she likes you, get engaged. Justin be like Ok" her name is Annabelle

Overall, the WN is really bad in term of pacing and exposition. Author tries to rush the story arc too fast and resulting in some characters and scenario feels redundant.
Chapter 1 of the Manga actually fixes those pacing issues and make the story feel more interesting compared to the WN. So I advise that you just stick to the manga and avoid the WN unless you want to hurt your brain.

I don't claim about knowing how the editorial department or the screening process approve this sht.
For what i can assume is they approve the story in a rough draft. And went along with it. As for the actual ending that neither editorial department or the screening process went over their heads of "being approve" but having sht tier ending.
I don't believe there was a criteria of having sht tier ending especially after being approve. Again i know nothing of it so i answer purely assumptions.

It will be most likely a promotional for the WN. You know what even more suck? Make a anime as a sole purpose of promoting the lightnovel. That's what i called A WASTE OF RESOURCES.
