Well, that translation was without a doubt a google wordsallad... ehrm, I mean translation.
It's appreciated that someone wants to do the translation but imo the level of this translation is barely better than no translation, sorry for being blunt about it.

First idk where you get that the other translator was busy right now, that's just your assumption, what I get from the message was that he WAS busy and now he's back to translating. And second, did you tried to leave him a message on the comments? I went looking for the comments in chapter 35 and there was not any message from you there trying to contact him.

haha, i'm grateful for the feedback. apologies for the MTL, but my japanese isn't quite up to this standard. not much I can do about that, i'm afraid, but im happy to at least be putting them into a form of english lmao

ah, apologies. i didn't mean to step on anybody's toes. though you are right, it was just an assumption on my part. it might have been a little presumptious of me, but I only wanted to give the other TL an option. in terms of not commenting - that was a complete oversight on my part... sorry.

Ok, first things first, Thanks for the TL.
Now, not gonna lie, that was a very very rough translation. Although I do vaguely recall a previous translator saying this series was a bit challenging and we all have to start somewhere. For now, maybe offering to help and learn would be the best way forward.

not the worst google translation i've ever read but it could definitely use more proof reading. my suggestion is to use chat gpt instead as apparently some of their latest iterations can translate scarily accurately and coherently. there's a trick to make it more coherent but i can't remember for the life of me what it was. all i can say about it is there's a reason why official translators are being replaced by ai.

thanks for the kind words haha. I agree that helping out, rather than taking the whole thing on may be a better way of going about it. I'll take your suggestion to heart haha. thanks.

I have no qualms if they took it to themselves to continue the manga, I did take my holy time to continue too. in the scanlation world, its proper etiquette to wait at least 6 months to not call it sniping. No worries, I’ll do an upload of these two chapters tomorrow.

Its funny how good a quality you can get with solely a decent PR. You may have little to no experience with Japanese but even a MTL can be turned around into a "more than passable" release, with little more than an exceptional understanding of PR stuff and the language you're translating to. If only groups like LHT could get that through their heads lmao

I feel like leaving broken sentence structure unchanged is kinda weird when it comes to proofreading. If you see odd sentence structure that just doesn't make any real sense in the translated language you should edit it to where it's properly readable while still carrying the same message, unlike these worthless official localizers that just pump their unwarranted worldviews into things (still mad about that Lucoa scene among others). Thanks for the translation though!

I understand the point you're trying to make, but if you are referring to the "um...", "I-I..." etc., I chose to keep them in, as an attempt to reflect the indecisiveness put across in the raws. At present, I'm unsure how else I would be able to do so, without the use of ellipsis, or the odd hyphen.

Regardless, thanks for reading.

Regards,
Lectonal.

Edit: If you are referring to the actual way the sentences are structured (which is the actual question 🤦‍♂️), I haven't checked since upload, but if I remember correctly, they should at least be grammatically correct.
(I can't say much for the accuracy of the Translations, however.)
The only real variable I can think of, Is that I'm from the UK, and so some of the ways I have worded things may come off as strange to those who aren't. Though, that might be me clutching at straws haha.
