That would have given the remaining one whatever skill the other one had. She's basically just learning from Nakatani, because if he did then what you want her to do now, she and the rest of the class would be dead. The entire class left him for dead, and then went to kill the demon civilians he was helping, so if he forgave them enough to not immediately kill them, she just assumes she should try paying that forward.

Well, it could either be that they feared the consequence of having too many skills, since each of them seems to already gather a few. Or it's pack mentality, they need someone else to be there to ascertain their action.

Coordination asides, their plan was actually sound. If one of them was able to take the healing skill, they could heal the other. After that they would be in a better position for a drawn out fight, or maybe just get the heck outta there.
