Pixiv raws have @Smileyguy's chapters 9 and 10 combined as chapter 9. This is chapter 10, at least on there. If we're using a different numbering system, please point it out to me.

Was already working on this chapter when I saw a different group was going to take over, but I was almost done with the chapter. No plans to continue unless translation dies again.

I know that, It was weird because the non official and official version are a little mixed up
I put "ch8" originally in "ch9" because that was the number of the chapter in the version I was reading
So I just added a number so I could make it connect

@smileyguy that's because the spanish version scanlated from the chinese and they both mixed things up weirdly, and some things don't even make sense in spanish.

I knew something was off with the translations I was reading
a few of the text boxes didn't make much sense but you could somehow still understand what they were talking about because of the context.
welp, that's what happens when you jump over 4 languages, Some things get lost in the process

it seems the mother dislikes to see people treat her son as a girl. and start putting pression on akira to avoid being treated as a girl

Akira seems to have accepted that she's a girl now that she's made friends with girls at school. Her anxiety about being a girl seems like it was somewhat to do with fearing rejection from her peers.

Is the mother viewing her daughter as a boy and want her to live as one despite her physical gender? It looks like she told the grandma that Akira wants to be a boy too. It's something that's popped up in the news, where mothers view there child as a different gender and force them to transition. This has the added scifi twist of the condition.

I'm not sure how the science works in this piece of fiction. Was she always a girl XX but displayed male characteristics until puberty? Or did her DNA change from XY to XX? I'm willing to bet those details aren't that important to the story the author wanted to tell.

And Akira was born xy, that is made very clear, he just had a weird disease that magically(?) transformed him into an xx like if he were born girl, and probably I don't think is easy for any parents to accept that your boyish son transformed into a girl out of the blue and that he is not resisting it but rather accepting it

So the versions of 9 & 10 currently up are even worse than we thought they were? they're triple translations? jp -> cn -> es -> en?
That is early Iruma wicked house tier bad news but replacing the vietnamese step with spanish.

Since the chapters are so short someone ought to redo them.

it fictional gender swap the guy can become a fully functional girl with only the fading memories of thinking they were a guy.
That is the difference between fiction and reality. they jump from one fully functional sex to another.

Hi. Just thought I'd mention I'm from the "new group" that will be working on this project, and we're also doing the other one (volume edition). I think because I just created an account, I wasn't able to comment right away, but if you can read this then that restriction has been lifted.

We will try to maintain a regular schedule for our releases. First will be volume edition chapter 5, then twitter edition (ie. the edition you're looking at right now, "Pre-Serialization") chapter 12. Then after that we'll alternate in some way between the two. Any extra buffer we have to our regular schedule will go towards redoing earlier chapters that came after kurisu/EPK's version. We will announce when that backlog is complete in one of our credits pages so you can go back at that time and read them if you wish (ie. you won't have to monitor updates to the previous chapters if you're patient enough to just let us tell you when we're done). Starting volume 2 we may only focus on the volume edition for a while, since the two editions start being nearly identical, but perhaps when we catch up with all the volumes, we may switch back to the twitter edition ("Pre-Serialization") to give you stuff fresher than the last of the volume edition, for those of us who are too impatient to wait for volumes.

We will be extending kind words towards @kurisu, @SmileyGuy and @illusorypants for their work in our next release on our credits page, in the volume edition chapter 5.

Until we release (which is soon!), I will be monitoring this comment section, among other places, and answering any follow-up questions, if you have any.
