I feel like the manga is missing context a lot of times. The plot generally uses the whole idea of presenting the modern-day situation and then showing backstory to explain why it's like that, but I don't think it's done very well.

Like I don't even know why MC was not allowed to come to the house. Not that it matters much, but it bothers me. Like none of the scenes shown so far would explain why the mother banned him from coming to the house.

Not to mention that she regret it. Which makes the idea that the ban still exists for the MC to worry about it seem even weirder.

Yes infact trauma doesn't go away like that but you didn't realize one thing, it was self inflicted and he was aware of that wich made him rethink everything and try again on a whim I'm saying this because I've been in that state ever since I was a teenager I havent had a single positive thought about myself or my life, but since I know it's just me it's not that serious besides the fact that It does affect my social and private life it could go away but It has no reason to do so yet I hope

I didn't know such a bad manga could show exactly how self inflicted trauma works it's just how it is right there everything is negative and unsure you never trust anything ever your own words either because you were hurt or don't want to be hurt you distance yourself not caring what people think of you all you want to is for others to be happy you usually don't think you deserve anything

My guess is more that it is him getting overwhelmed by everything, but at least having the one person who has, before her dumb stunt (and even during it, to a degree...at least that we can see here), always tried to be there for him, giving unrelenting positive reinforcement in a moment he left himself be vulnerable (in the sense of being more emotionally open than normal), is helping him at least push forward a bit.

I'm sure if any of the people involved hurt him he'll close up ever worse than before, but this is mostly him finally trying to give himself a chance to trust in them again, while the motivation from his childhood friend persists (The nakedness could easily have been excluded, but i think the author just wanted an excuse for it, and to remove the people shouting "WHOREEEEEE!!!" because she decided to do a dumb teenager thing).
