With the increase in numbers of titles with this kind of story and ones that go very knees deep into revenge against the bully (this one, Nyanta, Life reversal, etc.), I would not be surprised if this is a collective outcry of the generation that kept this frustration under the rug for so long.

I remember how some twins in elementary school constantly bullied me and how, once I had enough, I fought back and accidentally punched out a tooth when I hit one of them. The teacher obviously only saw that and called my parents to complain about my behaviour. He sure was shocked when they not only didn't care, but actually berated him for not paying attention to the fact that I was being bullied by them. Shit teacher in general too, always felt like he had it out for me and only paid attention when he thought I was acting out.

Bullying stopped though, the twins threatened they'd beat me black and blue but never followed up on it, and I remember the rest of elementary school being relatively peaceful. Still occasionally see them now that we're adults, seem like decent enough folks too.

Also, this has been said plenty before, but these teachers are board certified bums. How you gonna let 1 student literally getting STOMPED ON by 3 others and you just standing there "hey stop you guys".

Not just as teachers, not as adults, but as human beings your first instinct should have been to jump right in and straight up drag those 3 kids away from STOMPING on 1 kid.

Them bitches however waited all the way until after the victim stood up, kicked on of them to the side, broke anothers fingers, shin check, knee to face and slam head to wall the last one and start interrogating him while presumably getting a couple of more licks in.
But they draw the line at the girl getting threatened? Really? THATS when you intervene? After everything was pretty much done?
Just go home and hand in your resignation bruh.

Other teacher quit because how she fucked up, but don't know how glasses teacher got away with this shit you can see her earlier in chapter she's still a teacher with new name probably she's married now and the childhood friend who supposed to be by his side, in future decides to fuck up her relationship instead of fixing the stupid decision she make she literally proceed to date the other guy. Had he just walked up to them sure, he'd be the offender and it just be violence, but in this case is was literally just self defence against multiple parties, while the teachers literally just stood there and watched it happen 😐
The girl would've deserved a fist just as much for instigating even more violence.

When multiple people kick you while on the ground it doesn't matter how you defend yourself, you're in the right not gonna lie, even if you just straight up ram their eyes, it's not like you'd have leeway, the teachers clearly weren't gonna help

Hitting the girl wouldn't have been self-defense anymore, though. He was in the clear at that point and had beaten off the kids attacking him, at which point further violence would be revenge, not self-defense, for the same reason that attacking a fleeing robber is not self-defense.

And while I do think he was in the right to defend himself here, let's not go too far in saying that it wouldn't matter what he did. If he straight up started stabbing them with whatever sharp object he found lying around that would definitely cross the boundaries of self-defense, as self-defense does have the clause of needing to be proportional.

Correction:
The first few hit "can" be considered as self-defense, but any subsequent hit is not (because there's no further threat, since they're clearly backing up out of fear), and it would simply fall under "retaliation" which would also get you in trouble.

Maybe in a 1v1 scenario, but if there's multiple people beating you up you don't exactly have the luxury of just hoping for them to stop after giving them one punch, in such situations it could spell your end 😶

It's not a death match, calm down. MC's point was that he let the bullies kicked him on purpose so that he would be acting in self defense and had the right to fight back.

But the thing is that self defense is only a valid claim when you're facing a threat and what you do is proportionate with the threat you're facing. When he broke the bully's nose on his knee and slammed his head on the wall, there was already no more threat against him. Hitting the girl would have been straight up assault, not self defense, as she never was a threat to him.
