I must say Ch. 26 of this serie is actually the best chapter I've ever read
yep. just look at the absolute shitshow of the Buffalo school system that got outed on the Unsubscribe podcast. A load of terrible stuff getting swept under the rug for years, till one man brought it to lightWord of advice if it ever happens to you or your kid get the outside involved if you want any meaningful change otherwise it'll be buried and would be repeated.
simple, he still has something to fight for, his childhood friend. but after that he didn't has any motivation anymore. basically suicidal, not a single ally, he basically planning to disappear after highschoolWhy is he raging against people who wronged him when he was younger, but all the bitches who have wronged him that are around him now he doesn't do shit?
Yeah that's what the series is all about. All the girls in his life refused to take accountability for all they didPoor guy. The teachers are clowns, and even now they're more looking out for themselves than anything. Refusing to take accountability and if he'd let go they would try and rugsweep it or blame him.
Why even attend HS? HS is optional in Japansimple, he still has something to fight for, his childhood friend. but after that he didn't has any motivation anymore. basically suicidal, not a single ally, he basically planning to disappear after highschool
you seriously think it's satisfactory for a parent to abandon her kid only as middle school graduate? Why even attend HS? HS is optional in Japan
Imo, its would still classify this as a revenge story. The story revolves around the MC and the characters that hurt him and the goal is to see those characters get their comeuppance or to resolve the beef with the MC or like you said "redemption, forgiveness and helping the MC to become whole". To me, thats still a revenge story, if you read other type of "MC gets banish and goes on to be better than the ones that banish him", those are still revenge stories even though they bare even less resemblance than this one. Yes, the MC doesn't bare any will towards the revenge, but he's still directly involved with dishing out karma. Hence go back to the point i was making in the original comment. Thats why we love to read these type of story no matter how its written. Its satisfying to see people get their just deserts.Well, this isn't a revenge story. Its a story about redemption, forgiveness, and helping the MC become whole again.
Ehhhhhhh "optional" is only on paper. Ig yeah, you're not forced to go but like when you need to get a job, whats your options? Especially in a highly rigid and traditional society in Japan, what kind of future are you looking forwards to if you dont even graduate HS when you're supposed to. Its like how colleges are viewed in the west, its optional but if you want a decent job they're gonna drill you about it.Why even attend HS? HS is optional in Japan
The childhood friend, the one who rejected his confession and got together with a senpai to hurt him?simple, he still has something to fight for, his childhood friend. but after that he didn't has any motivation anymore. basically suicidal, not a single ally, he basically planning to disappear after highschool
Which isn't something his mother did, at all. She immediately believed the accusations, never really was there for him, prioritized her career, etc.as family, i believe it is necessary to trust your close one first and foremost until proven wrong
not exactly hurt him, make him jealous but yeah very stupid moves. the her mother double it down by forbidding him to contact her or coming over to their house. The childhood friend, the one who rejected his confession and got together with a senpai to hurt him?
Bro, every school-bullied kid wished that they could've done what MC did, being level-headed, logically smart, and having reasonable/valid/"make sense" mindset on his current situation, and especially, HAVING THE COURAGE TO FIGHT BACK, with everything available, via legal process or violence but most of that are not thought by the educational system, making them an accomplice in their unjust ffixed structure.I know it's not supposed to be realistic, but a kid talking about getting a lawyer ?
What's the source of this imageMC, internally, while physically and verbally beating the shit out of his entire class:

If protecting a school is more important than protecting its students it's time for a fire.
