I think he stopped reading any messages when they still believed he had killed her and were thousands of messages calling him a murderer and telling him to kill himself. The only things he was paying attention to were the system announcements and the viewer count. Unless I am remembering wrong he never even saw messages from his sisters.
Nope, because he doesn't read his messages. Also the manga skipped over a bit where
the transferred people get connected to a video call to a family member and he got connected to his piece of human trash mother who the twins put on a cruise liner to stay outta the way. She doesn't know the truth and totally believes he did the killing. He jumps off the pier where he was at afterwards and takes a swim. So his mood is even lower than usual when he meets Jeanne.

The real loss Hikaru with Jeane, is when Jeane, everyday, she teases Rifreya and Hikaru, and she's jokingly joining the harem and it kills Hikaru
yes the “system/god” in charge is definitely fucking with him on purpose for their own amusement. Every change, like timing of adding the message system seems designed to push him further and further to the edge.

But with this girl being with Nanami in that flashback scene, and her being the one who won the contest (and presumably has the resurrection item), I can only imagine this is gonna go with her going "here you can have it, now that I don't think you killed her". Not exactly what I thought would happen (since I thought the Alex guy was gonna give it to him), but not surprising anyway.
