I would like to continue to upload here but since the dmca, there's that checkbox asking if I have permission to upload.man bit of a shame you are not going to upload here anymore, the owner of that site is a gargantuan piece of shit that is trying his best to make everything worse so I'd rather just not use it if I can
FYI the checkbox is just a formality of how things already were.I would like to continue to upload here but since the dmca, there's that checkbox asking if I have permission to upload.
(I don't mind it getting taken down/nuked because technically it is illegal, but I don't want to get emails from publishers and stuff like that you know.)
And I'm not too familiar with how Comick operates I just asked to upload.
the checkbox is mostly so they don't get sued into shutting down but I get it, mangadex still works the same way with dmcasI would like to continue to upload here but since the dmca, there's that checkbox asking if I have permission to upload.

Yea that makes sense thanks,we'll have to see how they handle it next time something like that happens but my guess is that they'll just ban all the accounts that uploaded dmcad stuff and say "look we did something pls don't kill us"
Ooooh i was wondering why people were so eager to mass migrate to comick, this explains itthe checkbox is mostly so they don't get sued into shutting down but I get it, mangadex still works the same way with dmcas

as for how that site operates, the main thing about it is that after the newest rule in mangadex got added all the shitty tl groups that were farming money migrated there
the entire mass ai mtl into paywalled chapters scene is in that site and are defended by the owner (they do a vote to approve new scans and he actively defends paywalled chapters and one of the worst groups already had upload perms before their vote even took place), who is working on putting a "subscription service" to not get ads on his fully illegal scan hosting site
my bet is that in a while you'll see a payment system in it that allows to "directly purchase" paywalled chapters from those groups which he takes a cut from
also on the subscription thing, he accidentally put the button for it public on mobile before he was ready and denied that he planned on doing that only to announce it about a week later
its mostly that it was the only other site that was mostly fine and allowed to upload directly for scanlatorsOoooh i was wondering why people were so eager to mass migrate to comick, this explains it
So the paywalled MTL teams hype beasted the site, and everyone else who didn't knew where else to upload just went along
Wasn't Batoto still around tho?its mostly that it was the only other site that was mostly fine and allowed to upload directly for scanlators
the mtl teams didn't really bring extra hype but I believe they do work more closely with the staff there since they get to time lock releases so people go to their sites
it was just that due to the timing of everything it ended up working like that, most sites are purely aggregators that just grab stuff from elsewhere or limited to just a group uploading stuff with like 3 exceptions including mangadex and that site
so there really wasn't anywhere else to go unless scanlators went to reddit or 4chan/ own websites
people were also skeptical of batoto because it got hit as well once upon a timeWasn't Batoto still around tho?
Sorry for being dumb but you're talking about which site exactly? Haven't heard about all that.the checkbox is mostly so they don't get sued into shutting down but I get it, mangadex still works the same way with dmcas
