His ex-wife is the worst type of woman. Stringing him along and giving him false hope but really having no intention of getting back together with him.
Of course, he's an idiot too for not figuring it out sooner and simply cutting all ties with her, once and for all. He needs to wash his hands of her and move on.
This chapter had more errors than usual, which was a shame. For example, "argument" has no 'e' between the 'u' and the 'm'. And there were a few other problems, too. The proofreading was a bit lacking, for sure.
