That's not the case here. They are just there as part of the story, and the only character that is ever in any kind of close, intimate relationship, other then just friends having conversations, is Sakura. Hell, the thought or mention of a harem by the MC never even happens.🤷‍♂️

I'm impressed by this ending. Of all possible ways this could end, I would've never expected this kind of finale.

Leylines are just rivers of energy, and One Piece showed us years ago that people will just roll with it if a river flows uphill, or just gushes up out of the sea and high into the sky. The leyline connection is probably that skybeam you tend to see under these floating continents anyway.

I see you've read a very small portion of harem stories.

The vast majority are just hanger ons,they say crap,do crap,claim crap,but by the end of it,the very first girl is the sole winner,that's how they've worked for the past couple of decades or so.

Very few harem stories actually end with a harem that the main protagonist is intimate with.
