He does have something to gain from it, his current position is that of a benevolent scientist whose proposals are always helpful.

I read WN long ago and can't rmb much but I rmb I read pass the part where erika kinda confront harold and almost crack his front(the harold's speech/action)

and we almost get a bit of romance progression with but she decided to double down on being "good wife who trust her husband with whole being and never question" and stall the progress then I stop after author change PoV to others group.

I don't rmb jutus being confirmed as "true villian" in WN(as story keep jumping around) but I also don't rmb him being .... kinda this good guy? chaotic good type? Like, he's still crazy about his research but actually want to save harold and didn't plan the stellar tribe incident is kinda new to me.

wonder how story gonna go now. since Jutus in manga version clearly didn't set the stage for stellar tribe genocide, then who? is it gonna be new baddie or there're someone who already introduced who fit the bill?

He does seem to have involved MC in order to give him a chance, whether it is just for his own research benefit or just curious how things pan out, this is definitely better then just getting sentenced to death. Appreciate the TLs.

Yeah, this was presented very weirdly and it was only as an afterthought that I realized how incongruous it was. It would've been better to have a couple of shots of him talking to the girls to remind the reader that this is not his memories, but a "recounting" of them. This is not at all helped by the long break since the last release so I understand how some were misled/bought into it.
