If they were significant enough for the game story. The game might have mentioned Justus spreading devices around the kingdom, but that might be the extent of it. The game might also have not mentioned such a detail at all if it had no effect on gameplay. But since it's not a game anymore, Justus might need them, for example to monitor the concentration of miasma in different parts of the country. Maybe in the game when Liner's party went around getting rid of miasma, such devices could have been a part of the clutter art, but that's it.
