Also, even though she might've been convicted for attempted murder, since she was released from prison, you'd assume that means she should no longer pose a risk. Didn't he say the article was overdramatic and misleading himself after interviewing her?
I think it'd be interesting to see what impression he had of her back then/the backstory to the incident. If she were a psychopath trying to murder her parents for no reason, surely they wouldn't just release her onto the public

Well... this is a tipping point for this story, with this Yanderes/Psycho stories, there is always the moment that "why is he still with her?" why is he not talking to the police? And the story needs a good reason to keep going after the reveal.
