The MC is so boring. Would be more interesting if he had the focus mindset of "I'll help her make a great manga even if she kills me".

Or have his Moral compass start to degenerate a bit. Slowly warming up to her and her... Shenanigans. Not completely but becoming Kind of "eh shes gonna do what shes gonna do, as Long as her Manga are good". Same goes for miss cult leader. So much Potential to let this Story get a Bit darker and much more interesting. I mean at some Point Hes got to become desensitized to the danger she poses.
