The entire family seems to be hostages. Each one is being used as leverage to force another to cooperate. Yumi though, is potentially a ticking bomb. If she regains her Hero Drive and discovers Makube is holding her father, and maybe even her mother, prisoner, just what would a kid that age do if she had power?

The more we learn about her, the more confused I become about her acting as a dark hero. Only guess I have is the the civilians she attacked she suspects are related to her parents disappearance, but didn't really get that feeling.
