I don't really like dropping manga, but I'm wondering why I'm still reading this. MC is possibly the most powerful human in that world, so why all this lollygagging about? Sure, I get being humble, and I don't like arrogant characters either, but despite knowing full well that there isn't any problem he cannot magick himself out of, why is he stilly carrying himself like a weed?

Yeah, some characters are cool because they pretend ignorance, but looking at MC here I'm just getting pissed off.

@TheBlueCat This seems like a you problem. Many of us enjoy it for what it is. Some however insist on sticking around and complaining because its not what they want it to be.

Your not complaining but your clearly wishing this was something else. Its not though and while it could change its unlikely to given the characters and premise.

I dropped dragon maid myself because the author did something i just can't stand. I may go back to it one day but just like when bleach started kidnapping princesses there are some things i don't stick around for.

If the story isn't what you want you should indeed leave it alone, maybe check on it later when chapters build up. Sometimes you just need to take a break. Like how trying to read something like Saiki Kusuo no Ψ-nan is going to burn you out but binging a few chapters from time to time when your in the mood is great.

I think I'm complaining within reason. After all, I stuck around this long because the manga did something right early on. It's just that after all this while, MC is still acting like a kid, and it's just not cool anymore. I guess I was hoping that the character would actually develop a bit. Oh well, what was I expecting from such shallow characterization, not gonna happen I guess. So yeah, I think I'll stop looking this one up.

Only when I actually need to, most likely. Depends on my mood, I guess. Regardless, if I had MC's power, nothing short of entire nations coming together to try and wipe me out would make me hesitate. Guards or the captain of the knights? Nah, not gonna stammer or sweat for them. Unless I'm going the Xellos route and intent to mess with everyone's minds, then what's the point? Heck, you could play coy without pretending to be weak, just look at Kisuke Urahara. That man was just bloody enigmatic 😎 until the full reveal.

But, yeah. I shouldn't expect deep characters from this story. Thanks for dropping a line.

Could be me misremembering, but didn't Cinderella have a childhood-friend that turned out to be a guard?

Okay, so we don't actually know who the childhood-friend is. They only stated that the two grew apart after Cinderella's father died, there was never any actual confirmation of it having been the prince in the first place.

My guess is that the childhood-friend will be the overpowered guard, who'll remember Cinderella and the two of them will fall in love again. Meanwhile, the prince will go after Sailor Soldier, because that's extremely obvious at this point.

I don't recall anything from Cinderella, but that's how I felt while reading this chapter, as well. The bodyguard noticed that the couple was ogling "Cinderella", and so he went ahead and wanted to confirm something with one of em'.
Sounds about right.
