like in recent chapters Shiki starts going out with vtuber friends and spoiler, he talks more often with Akari, they talk secretly behind the school about vtubing and friend watches this with binoculars, grows jealous, and one day while Shiki is out with vtuber friends Kagechika can't contact him, so he waits for him in front of his house all day while it's raining and inquires him about where he was and what he was doing. however he confesses about the binoculars and says that he won't lose to Akari and that he wants to be the one who knows the most about Shiki because he's special to him.

So I think he's not bad, just gay and doesn't know how to express it.

That is totally straight behavior. Using binoculars to watch your friends talk to a girl isn't an obsession; it’s just quality control for social interactions and a protective instinct for your buddies. Besides, there’s nothing straighter than telling your friend you aren't going to lose to the girl he likes. That’s just pure, honest competitiveness—because a true friend is special, and he’s the one you should devote the most time and thought to.
