no worries about quality, it reads pretty well and i'm always going to be much happier seeing someone put in real effort (and if need be get their mom to help) than just throw it through deepl without even knowing if the result is correct.

English flows well, so no problems there.

Would suggest another font if it’s possible, as that current one is a bit too light on a smaller device like a phone (at least on my iPhone 17).

Glad to see someone picked this back up again, it’ll be interesting to see what’s in the next chapter after this one’s cliffhanger.

Thank you so much for the TL! Don't mind too much the quality, the fact that you didn't just put it through an AI is more than enough! Keep goin'! If you need a hand with redrawing, hit me up, I'll try to lend some help (I wanna see more of this manga too ;3)

To GummyDeino: No need to apologize! The translation felt very natural!

As for the story itself, I'm grateful that Kyouko is figuring it out before the halfway point! It's rare to see a genderbend manga with a meaningful reveal that isn't held off until the very end. There's so much to explore in their relationship, and I'm stoked to see how the two work things out!

oooooo, interesting to see the genderswap coming to light this fast. I wonder if next chapter will have a hasty coverup (it's my cousin!) or something like that, or if the genderswap situation will be explained. Or, will she just say that she's a girl now?
Also, I dooooo really hope that she stays a girl... the manga is probably gonna be about her wondering whether she wants to live as a girl and trying out that versus being like a boy with Kyouko.
And the "I have no interest in boys" was peak, as was the ensuing promise of devotion. Lesbians and their promises...

Even if the translation is bad, which i'm this case it isn't btw, its still better than no translation or ai translation, so thank you for giving us a new chapter to read

The translation is tolerable, you need better quality scans though, the scans you used are awful and a huge downgrade from the previous group.

honestly, it's no big deal that you're Chinese isnt that great.
which is to say why are you using a chinese translation instead of the original japanese!?

not only would that help with the aforementioned scan quality, but then the aside lines that you didn't tackle would at least be japanese still

If possible, can you send me such scans, because I have literally no idea how to get better ones. I had to take screenshots and edit it in Canva on a school account, so it's not very surprising.

I can't translate Japanese, I only know Chinese and English.

I wasn't super sure if you used the forums, but I can give some advice as a fellow translator.
1. Getting raw manga files is usually kind of a hassle since screenshotting is very bad for quality. I buy mine from Kobo, but that only works for stuff with official Chinese translations and it is usually worse to do layered translation.
2. Usually the standard for all the messing with the pages is photoshop though not everyone has that so GIMP is a pretty popular free alternative.
3. I mentioned before, but translating from a translation usually leads to error even if unintentionally. It's fine if there's no translation at all, but I would recommend just waiting for someone who can do it from original. If you want to practice your Chinese, manhua groups are always looking for CTLs
As a final word I will say it is pretty bad manners to pick up a series that's already being translated by someone else without at least first asking. We were just a bit away from finishing our own TL so it was quite a shock seeing a chapter update a bit before our own. Usually a series is only considered abandoned after 6mo-1year of no communication, but even then it's nice to ask if the group has a discord linked since things can happen. Competing TLs suck both for readers and for the groups since a lot of work is wasted working concurrently and most readers don't like waiting for a higher quality TL.
