That news girl is embodiment of fake news and any man's worst fear. Being falsely accused of something, everyone eating it up and your life being fucked up, and when it's proved wrong the damage is done and everybody hates you.

"We are going to change the MC name from this chapter onwards". Well its not like you've been swapping beween 'Joro' and 'Jouro' already right?

Next thing, keep calling him 'Joro' here and there. Just stop.

That's cancel culture (cancer culture?) in a nutshell.
The worst part is: how often I have seen the same effect in manga/anime: everyone listens to one side of an argument... and boom. It ends there. They all sneer and jeer at a person having never bothered with the other side of the story. Case in point: Yu Ishigami in Kaguya-Sama wants to be confessed to: Love is War. One-sided views spread to everyone in Ishigami-kun's year. It was only because of Shinomiya Kaguya's gentle push that the student council did a thorough examination (i.e., both sides of the story) that Ishigami-kun was vindicated, but only to the council, not to the whole school.

Essentially: it’s “Guilty until proven innocent” — and Joro, as awful a person as he may be, does not deserve those conditions. The court of public opinion has one problem with it. The public is a fancy way of saying “the mob.” No one can ever please or appease a mob.

@Fujiwara_no_Sai Too bad this shit is manga tropes from the 90's 101

Get your shit together, people always have and always will only hear what already agreed with their perceptions 🤷‍♂️

And Shitty News Hound Trying To Get A Scoop is just as old if not older than printed manga itself
