I don’t get it. Like this whole chapter; I don’t get it and am entirely confused. Is this still going off of the inferiority complex revealed last chapter? Because it didn’t feel like it addressed that as well as it should have, and who has that type of conversation with a random asshole customer? Hopefully next chapter clears everything up (or makes what happened here more clear and directly connects it to character growth), because I’m lost. I am optimistically looking forward to the make-up with pansy.

Holy shit, this whole chapter was cheesy as fuck. I wanted to puke while reading that fucking speech due to how corny it was.

What the fuck was up with that "I'm going to protect my friends and the bonds I have with them" shit? Is he a battle shounen MC now? And why did he even waste is time giving that speech to some random fat jackass who was acting like an asshole for no reason? And why did the fucking jackass actually engage him instead of telling him to fuck off? The whole thing is portrayed like a scene where the hero shows his conviction to a powerfuly enemy or engages an important antagonistic figure in his life but the whole thing just feels dumb because HE IS A FUCKING WAITER GIVING A "MUH FRIENDS" SPEECH TO SOME ASSHOLE CUSTOMER HE MET A COUPLE DAYS AGO.

This whole thing was so awkward and it's a shame because the previous chapter was great.

The annoying guy is probably just saying things that he feels are true about himself (he's constantly lashing out because he has an inferiority complex of his own and has nothing else he can do about it), and hearing Jouro acting all resolved made him feel like crap because he has no resolve of his own.

At least, that's how it's played out every other time this scene has been re-enacted in different stories.
