@Odessakun That site lists shoujo isekai Fushigi Yuugi and Magic Knights Rayearth that were more dramatic, but there were a some comedic shonen based isekai like El-Hazard and Maze the Mega Burst Space. Honestly the best drama one, Now and Then, Here and There didn't even focus on the reaction of being transported to another world so much as the consequences. Also the problem with 12 Kingdoms is that it's not really Isekai for Youko, she's returned to her original world. Sugimoto is the one who got isekai'd, but the story doesn't really follow her around.

The problem I have with many isekais is that the protagonists almost immediately brush off the fact that they will no longer see their friends or family (then again, many of the MCs either don't have this or this is something they view as a good thing for multitudes of reasons). Hell, most of them don't even bat an eye about the fact that they are living in conditions with their creature comforts. I've never seen an isekai where the MC was like, "God damn, I miss toilet paper so much." Few of them even point out that not having indoor plumbing or electricity or internet are depressing. You'd think a NEET that secluded himself would be more upset about not having the internet, but oh well.

And something that is even rarer than reverse isekais are isekais were someone goes to a more advanced technological destination rather than a more primitive one. The only ones I can think of are "Boku to Kanojo to Jitsudan Heiki (Antique)" (which is actually pretty damn good and also deals with the MC waking up and finding out Earth is a mere legend and everyone he knew is dead), "I Got Reincarnated And Mistaken As A Genius?" (which is generic and boring), "I Am A Killer" ("我是杀手") - (okay, technically a reverse isekai) also really damn good and is the story of an ancient Chinese assassin suddenly finding himself in the body of a completely untrained and normal teenage girl in modern times, and "Unparalleled Path ~ Reincarnated as the AI for a Space Battleship ~" (which if you read that one isekai about that dude that was reincarnated as a sword, that's basically this but he's a ship AI, not bad and does have the MC freaking out, in denial and shocked about having supposedly died and everyone is long dead on Earth by now).

Uh, I have no problems with the female characters? They're fine. I have problems with the male MC treating them like objects, even if that's what a slave basically is in that world. He's a scumbag who doesn't really care about them past what they can do for him, both in and out of bed.

@WarpspeedSCP Time travel isn't really a variety of isekai to begin with. It's just time travel. Isekai would be dealing more with matters of space than time, like finding yourself in an alternate universe. The two could intersect in one series for sure, but I think a better example might be The New Gate.

That dude got isekai'd to a game world he was familiar with, but it's also a time period in the future from when it was still a game, where the people who were players are sort of like historical figures.

If I, The Female Robot is anything it's more along the lines of "reincarnation" in the same universe/dimension, but I hesitate to really call it that too because the circumstances were still really unclear up to the point I read it so far. The main character herself raised some interesting questions about the circumstances and how weird it all is.

Such as it being completely friggin' bonkers for a human being to reincarnate into a robot that wasn't even designed to have artificial intelligence. She just, bam, pops into a robotic shell as what, extra code? She is a woman of science, and that shit just doesn't make any sense to her yet, because that's not how robots are even supposed to work and she basically pioneered all the best robotics advancements in her original existence (I don't even want to call it her original life, because is she really even alive again now, or just some super advanced programming?)

TL;DR - Sorry for bugging you three months later just to say that wasn't an isekai
