@darkeden112 @Kisato Japan basically locks peoples in jail who are trying to claim status in Japan or are stateless and are in need of help. To me their methods sounds like a deterrent. Being caught without papers in Japan will be a huge problem. The fact that she speaks perfect Japanese may help her

No spoiler but its not anything shady, dangerous or illegal. In fact, it's downright... lewd. OH MY?! Find out next chapters! ?

Oh yeah, my bad. But I would still think that she would act at least a tad more respectful.

Papers Please predictions aside, I want to point out that uh-oh, lady-knight just made a cooking manga foodgasm face.
Hopefully they'll end up married and she'll secretly go squee after drinking alcohol, like a certain other mango.

Maybe the dude has old contacts that would help him to get her a passport from some random country. 99% of people wouldn't know anyone like that, but this is a manga MC, so he might.

"Foreigners" get carded constantly in Japan. It's pretty much common knowledge that if you live or work in Japan and don't look explicitly Japanese you MUST have your 外国人登録証明書 "Alien Registration Card", informally known as your "Gaijin Card", on you at all times.

Policemen LOVE to card foreigners for the smallest offense or suspicion and they have no qualms about detaining you at the station until they can get your information.

So the MC looking into finding out if she's some kinda illegal immigrant or trying to get her some form of ID is pretty normal.

He's thinking of what could happen if she causes some kinda disturbance (which is like 99% probable considering... you know... she's from a different world) or even goes wandering outside and a bored policeman gets a hair up his ass about being "the Law" and detains her.

Suspension of disbelief wrecked. Completely unbelievable.

Nobody could actually eat aubergine and call it delicious.
Serving someone aubergine is just an indirect way of saying "you're not welcome here".

Well... whatever. If this whole isekai thing just turns out to be a shallow excuse for a manga about vegetable-farming then I'll drop it.
Like why even bother with a fantastical title / origin if the whole thing is going to be about something as insanely rudimentary as vegetable-farming? Even the average OP harem isekai is more entertaining than that sort of thing.

He's gonna have one of those "I was trying to do what's best for her without consulting her" MC drama moments huh

I grow increasingly annoyed with every two-bit artist pushing "science doesn't work like magic!1!!!1!" when they compare our technological level to a fantasy worlds magical principles. Developing principles concerning how things work is what fucking science is, not how a kitchen tap works or how a stove works. Those things are made based on scientific principles, but there's a reason that the acronym "STEM" seperates "Science" and "Technology" into two different categories.

@SotiCoto As a fan of eggplants, I found your comment offensive. It is delicious and a common food in Japan and my country. You don't like it but it doesn't mean other people think like you.
