Chris is going to be an awesome Mom, which will be happening pretty soon after she gets rid of the 'yet' condition.

@Liquidxlax Yeah, I don't remember as much as I probably should about this series myself. I'll probably read it from scratch again eventually.

Hmm, if this goes the path of "The little girl learns magic," then it will logically bring back the "The Government is aware of the transplanted Knight" plot element, which I get the feeling was kind of a misstep that the author wants to leave behind.

If it was possible, Honami would've begged Chris until she collapsed from exhaustion to teach her because she's that much of an otaku that would love to be able to use magic. Chances are it's just not possible for Earth humans for whatever reason. Now... The little girl did bring up kendo/swordsmanship on her own... Indicating she's interested in it and Chris is definitely an expert on that. And the Japanese government wouldn't really care if Chris taught her since HEMA and traditional kendo both exist in Japan and are legal (although with Japan's draconian weapon laws, if you so much as even think of using anything than a wooden/foam/plastic/ect. training version, the nearest police station probably has klaxons go off like Godzilla was just sighted off the coast...).

In case you don't understand that last bit, Japan is one of the few countries on Earth that has Sword Control. Not just gun control, but SWORD control. And it's tightly regulated. Technically, only traditional, historical and authentic Japanese swords are even legal to own/buy/sell/possess. And only when judged and authenticated by a panel (not shitting you, if some old sword turns up they get a panel of people to judge whether its fit to be legal). Western swords, even if they are royal heirlooms from ancient times, are not recognized. If the Queen of England visited Japan and gifted a 750-year-old national treasure sword to someone in Japan, technically, it'd be just as illegal as a rocket launcher and would have to be confiscated and/or destroyed. Yay Japan.

Huh, and I thought Chris would be addicted to sweets. I guess they do already have sugar over there.

OK, so she's just a newcomer to the village.
I think she's a good addition to the story if it generally stays light-hearted like this.
The less dark government drama we see, the better...
