In case you don't understand that last bit, Japan is one of the few countries on Earth that has Sword Control. Not just gun control, but SWORD control. And it's tightly regulated. Technically, only traditional, historical and authentic Japanese swords are even legal to own/buy/sell/possess. And only when judged and authenticated by a panel (not shitting you, if some old sword turns up they get a panel of people to judge whether its fit to be legal). Western swords, even if they are royal heirlooms from ancient times, are not recognized. If the Queen of England visited Japan and gifted a 750-year-old national treasure sword to someone in Japan, technically, it'd be just as illegal as a rocket launcher and would have to be confiscated and/or destroyed. Yay Japan.
