@livesofflight I'd say you have it backwards. Ami is unconsciously grooming Akira to be her future husband. If he was grooming her, he'd be changing her to his liking, but instead we got him willfully changing to what she likes.

Actually, it seems more like Ami is unconsciously grooming Akira to be her obedient slave (not that he would mind, at this point).
