So, hes not 29 year old virgin like the synopsis say...

All those sloppy Isekai and power fantasies have attracted these casuals who jumped on the anime bandwagon when it became cool and mainstream on social media, but who actually only watch the most popular series. They just know what they know and don't know how a manga can be wild.
This shitty mentality of calling other people "casuals" for not reading degenerate manga like this is what caused the wide spread bullying that weebs had in school. They were all fucking weirdos that didn't talk about normal manga.
If someone doesn't want to read shit like this, and likes a more popular anime/manga, then so be it.

There is a mentality, more common in places where prostitution is legal, that if you have only had sex for money then you are still a virgin. When you read this manga, you actually get some insight into why.

Virginity for a man is not a physical thing. There is no equivalent to a hymen for the penis. Rather, if there is significance to a man losing his virginity, it is that he accomplished something. Another human being found him agreeable enough to get intimate with him, voluntarily. If he was good enough for a repeat encounter, all the better - he demonstrated some skill, or at least potential.

Paying for it is not an accomplishment in the same way. It only means you had a bit of money saved, and if you went somewhere decent it means you could pass an STD screen and your personal hygiene was tolerable. Most people do not consider this a great achievement.

Moreover, as is made clear in this manga chapter, paying for a prostitute teaches you almost nothing. Arguably, on net, it teaches you less than nothing and makes you used to a distorted idea of intimacy with another person. You see how our protagonist does not trust his instincts and didn't take the initiative to communicate with his partner about how to make this a good encounter for both of them.

Literal victim-blaming. There are no "normal manga" to people like that. Bullies will always find an excuse.

Ohhh poor dude. He finally learned what it means to consider the wants and needs of another without getting clouded by his own ego. I'm def not surprised he thinks he's in love since this is his first genuinely reciprocal relationship.
But ah man, this girl seems like she might be more of a sadistic type than a typical yandere. It's a shame he had to have this experience with someone who clearly won't be careful with him!

I suspect, just spitballing here, she's going to twist him into trying to kill her husband... Just like Garth from Wayne's World II! Enters a "virgin", comes out a man, is handed a gun and told to go stop that evil husband of hers!

So, yeah... could happen?

You know, I was just thinking, "Oh man, it actually ended nicely! That's good! That's go-"
And then I got to those last 2 pages and felt a deep, sickness in my stomach.

That is super likely. I'm wondering what her relationship even really is with her husband. Is she even really married?? Love how much more menacing the vibe is getting!

Manga has always had "degenerate manga." It's always been weird. It's always had ecchi/softcore porn. What does it make you for reading this then? You are just the same as us in being bullied and being labeled as "weird." Don't ever think that you are better than others when liking something as love live is just as bad as this.

I like this manga for not it being about a fetish rather about a guy who is so chronically online and depressed about not being able to tell lust = love and see where the story takes us. I don't think this manga is about a fetish or "degenerate" rather deep in psychology of understanding human connections. What humans desire and what we want. Gomi is a borderline incl by how he thinks "oh if any man touches me then it's sexual harassment!" until he actually interacts with an actual woman to see all that online stuff isn't true. He thinks having sex means you are in love. I'm curious to see if he will succeeded redeeming himself.

I never realize I'm holding my breath until the end of the chapter. I wish I could binge this, but DMCA is always lurking apparently, so I can't risk that :dogkek:....:aquadrink:

Are people seriously thinking Gomi is somehow thinking with his dick and not his heart right now? We just got done a sex scene, where the guy has just used up all his lust, where if that was the only thing driving him to be with F MC then he would be satisfied with the result. But he's clearly not why?

Because he wants to be in an official relationship with her. He already knows he has a guaranteed friends with benefits relationship, which is exactly what any guy who just thinks with their dick would want. But he wants more than that. An actual relationship.

How are people somehow misunderstanding this. This is literally him thinking with his heart not his lust. Is this not what women want? For the guy to treat her more than just a sex object? Thats literally what Gomi is doing! Go Gomi!

But im still hoping for a plot twist. The authors previous work involving the daughter was just too damn good. I need that type of spice somehow in this series

I'm very sure only you have this weird definition.
Also, you prob never meet a rabid otaku in HS, they deserved to get bullied and ignored.

It hasn't, people who read "normal" manga just treat it as comics. It isn't degenerate by definition, but people like you are so far down the rabbit hole that you think it is.
And the proof of that is you love live example, both in the west and specially in japan, it is a series consumed by weirdo virgin otaku, it was never, in any form, considered a "normal" comic or series, so of course it is just as bad as liking this.
"Normal" are Shonen Jump titles like kimetsu no yaiba or seinen titles like sunny.
But i do agree with your second paragraph, this manga seems to be lining up to become a more well defined psychological triller, but only time will tell.

Lol no not really. Touch grass, you're still going to be considered a virgin if you went to fuck a hooker.
Also, you prob never meet a rabid otaku in HS, they deserved to get bullied and ignored.
Says who? You?
people who read "normal" manga just treat it as comics
Don't you see the issue with what you just said?
"People who watch 'normal' movies just treat it as theater"
At some point the medium you're reading matters on some level, don't you think?
It isn't degenerate by definition, but people like you are so far down the rabbit hole that you think it is.
In many ways it is, and it's perfectly fine like this. Art is fueled by various drives, "degeneracy" and sex being some of the strongest. Denying its impact on manga just proves how much of a casual you are.
"Normal" are Shonen Jump titles like kimetsu no yaiba or seinen titles like sunny.
That's basically saying "Normal" movies are MCU or Tarantino in order to invalidate the "icky" ones.
Well, you can call the titles that don't fit you "icky", or "degenerate", or "aimed at weirdo virgin otaku". People with working braincells who are actually into this hobby will just see you're a casual/tourist whose opinion isn't worth considering, and treat you accordingly.
