The problem is how the author sets this up.

Firstly MC is literal trash whose getting off to stealing a woman's period pads, enjoys rape, and is a hypocrite towards other men's ulterior motives too the girl.

If this was consensual then I'm sure while weird, people wouldn't review bomb this.

Plus, if the author wants this to be a psychological manga. HE HAS TO SET THAT UP atleast from the first chapter if he expects most readers to want to stay with the work because after reading that first chapter and seeing stuff like romance and sexual violence tags and a lack of a psychological tag...

There isn't much faith that this manga would go that route.

Ultimately, I think the criticism is deserved. What we have in the story so far is at best shock value and worst creepy workplace sexual harassment.

Yeah, I won't deny that worst case scenario for her is terrible and while he might not go to prison, imagine if that video circulated to the wider public? He'd still be a free man, but still...

Then again... I need to clearly separate what's actually caught on camera vs what we as readers know he's doing, so maybe it's not  that bad for him... yet. Let's see if she can trick him into digging himself a deeper hole.
