We already had a word for that community/viewpoint before incel even became a thing. It was called Blackpill, as an offshoot of the greater Redpill community. If you just want a term that refers to the broader landscape of misogynist manchildren we now have "Manosphere" for that.
Blackpill is a term from the incel community.

And he likes "I Am a Hero" too, he definitely has good taste. Or rather, I guess it's that because he said he likes "I Am the Protagonist", which is basically the same thing.
I was wondering what that was referencing. That fits spot on with how MC describes the manga.
It's a shame about the ending of that series though.

Well, at least the author already spoiled it. The relationship will have a bad ending. But i hope that the MC will have a happy one, just like the other characters in the mangaka previous work.

Except he has paid for sex. He has paid sex workers to lose his virginity. That doesn't make any sense to use the incel definition unless it's changed in definition such as the term "gooner" used to mean a stupid, aggressive person and now it means pervert/fapping.

Google states the definition of an incel is: a member of an online community of young men who consider themselves unable to attract women sexually, typically associated with views that are hostile toward women and men who are sexually active.
He's a incel, he has paid for sex because he can't get any women to like him enough. He's textbook involuntary celibate.
Also, all words lose meaning once it gets to the mouths of the people, just look at the AAVE slangs, many of those are decades old, but when it got popular the original meaning was lost. Incel was a term first used to describe women who couldn't find sex partners.

I disagree by how he doesn't hate women but I can understand where you are coming from by you explaining it with slang terms. Such as how "goon" used to mean a dumb violent person when now its another word for 'fapping'.

fanservice aside feels like it'd be a pain to walk /move around in a pencil skirt

Ah youth

wonder when we'll see the husband

Hm, maybe the author is basing this on some of his real experiences but that'd be wild if he had a similar mentality to this mc

and shes right about the shoujo manga tho there's plenty of josei about married couples although a lot of them are on the rocks/shaky themselves

Mostly they're either made of a stretchy enough material or constructed to have some give - which Yumezora's would have to have to be pushed up w/o tearing. Many have slits to make walking easier but Yumezora's appears not to.

I'm starting to think Yumezora has a sex addiction.... It's great for Gomi (not really no)

He wasn't an incel imo. He didn't hate women, nor say its their fault for not having sex with him. Gomi is an insecure, lowself esteem ex-virgin
I was thinking this the other day but I feel like we need a word for incels who moreso internalize their feelings rather than externalize them. He doesn't blame society or the world for how he feels he blames himself. Sometimes even unfairly. He doesn't lash out he retreats into himself. What would you call that? OG definition incel.
