I feel like had they just called the police, they might be able to get away with just a self defense charge. Seems like their whole building knows how violent the husband is, and there are likely enough evidence to support a very strong self defense case. If anything, the additional stabbings may work against their favor as they may be considered as unnecessary force.

Onto the next chapter I guess.

It won't work. Because Gomi strangled Moyupu. Strangling takes time and needs a lot of force. It can be easily proved as unnecessary force. Funny thing - additional stabbings won't work against them because criminologists can find the time of trauma appearing but not too precise.

Gomi keep her happy brother, she seems like being able to recover in the future from the trauma just keep yourself stable gomi
I won't bet on that. She'll probably eventually get bored of them living a calm normal life and her messed up psyche will push her into looking for other men to repeat this vicious cycle all over again.

At most MC would have been accused to excessive self defense so why are they running away :questionblob:
Especially when husbands abuse is well known in the building
Yes it would be self defense but only if their testimony on how things went is believed. The prosecution could easily argue that they are two affair partners who conspired to murder the husband and are now pretending he attacked them

In Japan, self-defense is practically never justification for killing someone in the vast majority of cases.
You can only use necessary and proportional strength to save yourself or others from imminent danger. You are not supposed to fight back unless necessary to get away and you are absolutely not supposed to use lethal force.
You can easily land in jail for manslaughter for doing what Gomi did, especially because it's easily proven that it was voluntary (marks on neck), not involuntary.
Yeah, strangulation is never a justifiable form of self-defense because of how long it takes. If you have the time to strangle them, you're expected to have run away by then instead.

Gomi was 100% guilty of manslaughter at minimum, 2nd degree (crime of passion) at worst which is why Kuroko was so terrified of him confessing. She seems to have also left her dna and performed the final stabbing so she can share in whatever fate he ends up with if (when) they're caught.

So sad, but even now I hope they can just heal on their little island vacay lol.

I might be too optimistic if I hope for some sort of happy ending when they'll be able to live together in a foreign country. I'm assuming we are headed towards a repeat of the cycle where either Gomi becomes an abusive partner or Kuroko will cheat on him once she becomes bored of a normal relationship.

Yumezora being all smile and excited considering their situation is a big damn red flag. Gomi, pls notice it. Please don't just get swept away in being "happy" eloping with your lover to another country, she's not behaving normally and you two are involved in a murder that both of you are running away from. Have some self reflection about this 🙏🙏🙏
