My theory is Amu prolly named the chapters in such a way to imply a visual novel esque choose your own ending style so if you dont like the hilarious bad end(prolly true end) that Amu has delivered you can just stop at HAPPY end and make your assumptions there.

that being said this mangaka is a sadist with the way he handled the ending to this chapter 🤣

Yumezora got EXACTLY what she wanted this time. Reached the pinnacle of happiness then died. She even got a kiss. Still that's an insane way to end the story. Even the author's last manga had a somewhat happy ending. I imagine that even after all this, Jirou will move on. The authorities seem to be after just Yumezora, so maybe he's fine? Despite how things started, Jirou seems like a genuinely good guy who'd make any girl happy.

The stab through the throat was crazy as hell.

Well! It was a fun dark story while it lasted. The ending is so poorly executed though, and it seems like the author was being an intentional troll with how badly they wrote the ending. Sacrificing the story's integrity just to get a rise out of the audience is definitely a decision of all time.

If you dear reader happen to be reading this comment of mine and are deciding whether or not to read this, my recommendation is don't read it since either you'll be disappointed by the ending, or you won't be invested in the story anyway in which case why bother to read it in the first place. If you do decide to read it anyway and get invested in the story, then I recommend creating a headcanon two chapters before the final chapter, that way you can actually finish this story with an ending that satisfies yourself. Whether you keep the entire tragic plot but make it more believable, or even come up with a difficult but happy ending, anything you make up can be better than what the author cooked; it's just that poorly written.
