Imo, its his way of being kind to her. If he did said "Yeah I loved you but not anymore", she might've feel depressed / blame herself. Because she knew it was her fault that she isolate him and by extension, crushing her own chance on mutual love. (Which she regret / still on her mind up to that point).

But by saying "I've never loved you once" (which is a lie and she knew, you can see how she used her demonic eye at pg.16 to see Akutsu trembling while saying it), now she doesn't need to feel bad about crushing her love by abandoning him. Because he "never have any special feeling for her anyway, and they were just friends that didn't know any better".

And this is also why she said that "why do you keep being nice until the very end". Because Akutsu just lie about his own feeling to spare Ayane feeling.
