Odd that they choose water over there instead of Coke. I've heard Japanese like Coke and that's the choice in America for mixing.

Also, I know he is just a nice guy but for some reason I find the director getting his subordinate drunk while they are alone kind of creepy.

It was (quite) a bit infuriating when they went diluting Whiskey.

Asian people get drunk more quickly than Westerners, so the watering down might be for that reason.

A VERY small amount of water (like a pipette worth) can be used to open up the flavour of some whisky but that amount is heathen speak.
