Well, it seems people here think that sexual abuse is WAY WORSE than years and years of mental, verbal, and even physical abuse (not to mention actual crimes committed such as slander, coercion, and even kidnapping and assault). The messed up thing here is not even what's implied is going to happen to her, the biggest crime in this writing is that is being set up so she gets RESCUED at the very last minute by MC before anything of consequence happens to her, thus, being forgiven by him and thus ending her mental break down caused by guilt. What? Do you honestly believe the author has the balls to actually go through with it? With this level of generic writing? Really? Get real, she'll be saved, she'll be forgiven, and all that happened will be water under the bridge once this is over. Because that is par the curse for the story.

After all, you question if the author "has the balls to actually go through with it", right after listing everything the author has included in the story, even if off-screen and simply as a part of the narrative. So clearly this manga isn't shying away from "heavy themes" by virtue of its very premise.
So the author could just as easily jump to a few days later to when a mutual acquaintance sees Hanabi looking haggard, and simply narrate what she's been put through already, and having that news make it back to Souma who then either moves to help her or not.
Explicit depiction of her being assaulted/raped/prostituted out isn't necessary to include it in the narrative.
Also - maybe I'm missing something, but saying
seems misleading. I'm seeing people saying that regardless of what Hanabi did, she doesn't deserve being SA'd or trafficked, not that what's happening to her is worse than what she did to Souma.

I only read the wn, which ended on the first act. This manga is based on the LN. So this is new territory for me.

If I'm being honest, I actually kinda think the MC will truly get authorities involved. He might try to solve problems himself when he can talk his way through a problem, but he's also seemingly intelligent and aware; if the Delinquent carries this plan through and Hanabi's being pimped out and MC finds out about it days later, I could see an angle where MC realizes it's too big an issue to "talk through" once he realizes who all is involved, and finds some authority figure/agency to help out.
One of the few times in a manga where I could see 'find an adult' actually coming into play. Could easily not be the case, but I think I'd even be satisfied seeing systemic consequences befall the delinquent at this juncture, and this MC is one of the few I've seen where it would make sense if he were to think "oh, adults're a smart way to solve this".

Bottom line, the video makes her look awful, and he is obviously a much younger victim. I don't think it would damage him, given the passage of time. But once again, it shows how much of a psychopath she truly is. Not as if people will point and laugh at how small his dick is, because of his age. So if she is going to spread them, it is for her own benefit. But we all know, she is doomed either way. If she is forced to 'perform', they will no doubt collect evidence, and her only release would be off the school roof. But I don't find her train of thought anyway chivalrous, it is self-serving.
Saying that, if this plot actually happens, no matter how little they show, it would be way too dark for this story and would be self-harming. I doubt I'd stick around to read it. Hardly a quasi rom-com if someone is constantly getting raped, no matter how much of a biatch she is. I assume our MC will somehow step in and save her.

That this is the last chapter for my catch-up is so incredibly on brand for this fucking train wreck.

To those of you bitching about this chapter and the story's direction and saying you're dropping it: I really don't know what you were expecting. The moment she wandered into the park at night it was pretty clear this is where the story was gonna go. Now, that is NOT me saying she deserves this. She's a bitch, yes, but this is disproportionate retribution. That said, I highly doubt the author is going to follow through. My prediction is that MC is gonna notice something off with Hanabi and cut this off before it goes too far.
That's what's being implied though. People keep saying she needs some sort or karmic backlash, or justice or something, but apparently what's currntly happening to her is too much.
We all usually stick to "an eye for an eye" when it comes to punishment. A crime requires a befitting punishment, right? But all of a sudden her actions having dire consequences is not something she deserves? Think about it, she manipulated this guy into breaking the law for her sake...it's obvious he'd be willing to take that extra step and break the law again, or go even further to get what he wants. She dug her own grave, but I doubt anything serious will come from it. It'd be nice if the author went ahead with it, even if it's off camera, but I doubt it'll happen.
