Okay, so she realized that she was in the wrong but it seems she doesn't get how in the wrong she was. In chapter 1 she was hanging out with a group of dudes, betting on how long he would wait for her in the rain (which manga teaches me is super bad for Japanese people, rain and cold stomachs are lethal or something). Like that's a special kind of awful and unless she can face how bad she got, no redemption.

Nah let the author cook. I would've been worried if this redemption arc came to us as a flashback before they got rescued and no actions took place in the present except for the mc forgiving her, but up until now author didn't really make mc forgive her or let her get away with her bs, so author could cook. Or make straight up doodoo, but let's have a little faith.
