I don’t mind the redemption arc, but I’d have preferred some fluff content with Mc before it. Also don’t forget this new girl is Hanabi’s big sister, she was living with her before, there’s now way she didn’t know about how hanabi was behaving wiyh her bf. Maybe she’s the one who made her like that in the first place.

something tells me that maybe this new girl is the whole reason Hanabi is the way she was in the first place.
she seems like an influential figure to Hanabi and that she's known her for awhile.
essentially she might just be a perfect manipulator and secret mean girl that Hanabi looked up to and mimicked.

They should of made her gain 20 pounds after being depressed, suddenly see how nice everyone thinks she is. 40+ pounds and they stop even attempting kindness, and after you get 250+ you stop existing. It's like magic, but open disgust and hatred instead, magic!

This chapter is kinda reawakening my interest in this manga, while Hanabi has been an antagonist so far, the last few chapters showed pretty nuanced character writing for both her and Ichinose. Hanabi finally understands that their relationship was toxic and seems to also understand that she can't make up for or fix it, and even has tangible reminder because of her leg. Interested to see where her character goes; redemption is probably out of the cards but she could still improve as a person. Plenty of ways for this story to go downhill, but hopefully they pull of something interesting.

I dont think i mind a redemption if they are gonna do it the way it seems. I really thought i wouldnt like a redemption but this really does put some human factors in it and i think i kinda like that.

Honestly I’m fine with it, she actually suffered and is reflecting. Though I’m a little concerned that the new girl might have worse motives than we’re being led to believe.

The new girl is triggering warnings in my lizard brain, something about her makes me not trust her.
